Deaf Cafe meets once a month in Cairns. It is a great opportunity for students and those learning Auslan to meet with other students and members of the Cairns Deaf Community.

_mg_0046_-_award_july_2007.jpgKarin's Mum Carol O'Reilly, was recently honoured with an Individual Award for the Disability Action Week Awards 2007. 

The Disability Action Week awards pay tribute to individuals and organisations that are active in improving the quality of life for Queenslanders with a disability.

This year, the awards honoured the achievements of 14 award recipients across 11 award categories. Winners were presented with their awards at a luncheon at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.
